Note: While some photography and meditation/yoga techniques will be taught, this retreat focuses on the relationship of our hearts to what we see every day, a contemplative practice through a lens you can carry home in your pocket.

  No photography experience or special equipment is necessary. Our role is to use any lens you have (like your phone) to take beautiful, heartfelt pictures as a meditative practice.

Each day’s schedule will include:

  • Daily morning walks around BeingSaatva 

  • Gentle Yoga,  Breathwork, and Meditation for Focus

  •  Breakfast 

  •  AM excursion with photography session (Theme of the Day for Nature/Culture/Craft/Wisdom)

  • Lunch

  • Rest/Relax/You time/Photo-Editing time

  • Walking Meditation/Happiness Exploration/

  • Tea/Community Sharing/Seeing

  •  Wisdom of the Day/(based on) Yoga Philosophy

  •  Photography and Written Journaling

  • 5-day immersion in specific practices of breathwork, meditation, forest bathing, travel to temples and waterfalls, contemplative photography exercises

Subba Sattvic, a trusted well-being and Life coach, and co-founder of BeingSattvaa, with a blend of 25 years as a corporate leader and 20 years as a mindfulness practitioner and wisdom coach. Unique to his programmes are tools of wisdom, science, mindfulness practices, and his life coaching that help us integrated these into our life contexts here and now.

 
 

Jennie Moctezuma, PhD is a practicing contemplative and event photographer and practicing Professor of Art, Leadership, and Anti-Bias Education. She is the founder of Sweet Olive Photo, seeking to find the beauty in everyday moments.

Renuka, Co-founder of BeingSattvaa, who created and runs BeingSattvaa, and has designed experiences for over a hundred retreats with special attention to freshly cooked plant-based food and experiences centered on the nature and culture of Bali.
